UP Yoddha have been away from victories for quite some time now, and that is what makes them hungry for a turnaround against the Jaipur Pink Panthers as the two teams collide at the Arena by Transstadia, Ahmedabad on Friday.

A quick look

The Panthers have not been at their top this season, and have been hit by a trail of losses of late. This must have reduced their confidence to some extent, and this lack of confidence is what the Yoddha will use against them. Our raiders, as captain Rishank mentioned, have been struggling to hit the purple patch in recent times, but this match comes with a chance for Prashanth, Rishank and Shrikant to find their mojo back. Our defense will as usual be our best foot forward going into this game.

Their defenders

Mohit Chhillar, the right corner and Young Chang Ko, the left cover, keep the squad protected from both sides. These two have been the most consistent, while the Panthers have experimented with Nitin Rawal and all-rounder Sunil Siddgavali. Our raiders will have to play Chhillar and Ko carefully in order to execute fruitful raids.

The command of the team lies with seasoned campaigner Anup Kumar, who has not been in the best of his elements this year. On top of his game, however, has been Deepak Hooda, who has earned 63 raid points as well as 7 tackle points, including a High 5. He will be the man to watch out for our next fixture as Jeeva, Narender, Nitesh and Sachin buckle up for yet another stellar show.

Story so far

The Panthers have managed to win only one match in the league so far and are at the bottom of Zone A table while we are sitting at No. 4 of the Zone B table with three wins.
