Yoddha have done it twice this season and they aim to tame the Bengaluru Bulls the third time as the two teams meet in Eliminator 1 of this season’s ProKabaddi, at the Eka Arena, Ahmedabad on Monday.
Their raiders
While Pawan Sehrawat has been in a form expected of him, the Bulls have struggled to find him a second fiddle this season and this has affected their game-play massively. If Sehrawat can be kept off the mat for a long time, Bulls’ points get drastically affected and that is what our defenders will have to aim for.
However, keeping a talented and in-form Sehrawat off mat will be a job easier said than done. Our talented skipper Nitesh Kumar will have to take the charge at right corner, while Sumit will attack Sehrawat from left to make it difficult for Sehrawat to steal points. Our covers Amit and Ashu too will play a major role in completing the defense. Keeping nerves calm will be key to success against a very quick Sehrawat in Monday’s high-voltage clash.
Their defenders
Though Mahender Singh appears to be the strongest among the Bulls defenders, the team consists of all-rounders and it becomes tough for raiders to go deep in the mat and pick up bonus points. On a positive note, our raiders have been exceptional against the Bulls defense. Shrikant has been the most consistent throughout the season, Surender Gill has been a find for us while Rishank has guided Yoddha with his experience and calmness on the mat. Yoddha will have to combine the qualities of these three on Monday to put up a near-perfect show from its raiding contingent.
