U.P. Yoddhas - owned by the GMR Group - held their nerves to secure a 35-33 win against Patna Pirates in match 103 of Pro Kabaddi League Season 9 at the Gachibowli Indoor Stadium in Hyderabad on Saturday, November 26.

The Yoddhas began the game on the strong foot, as they inflicted an All-Out on the Pirates in the eighth minute to take a massive 9-2 lead.

Captain Pardeep Narwal and Rohit Tomar led the charge for the raiding unit while Gurdeep and Sumit picked up tackle points for U.P. Yoddhas. However, Patna Pirates' Rohit Gulia fought back his way into the game to bring the score to 6-11 in the 15th minute.

With help from Sachin, the Pirates inflicted an All-Out to take the lead at 12-11. Thereafter, a couple of touch points from Pardeep helped his team regain the lead at 15-14, but Sachin's tackle on Gurdeep equalized the score at 15-15 heading into half-time.

Pardeep Narwal continued to showcase his top form in the second half and helped U.P. Yoddhas inch ahead at 18-15 in the 24th minute. The record-breaker pulled off a magnificent multi-point raid in the 27th minute as the Yoddhas inflicted an All-Out to attain a stronghold of the match at 23-17.

While U.P. Yoddha's defenders worked in tandem with Pardeep and pressed forward to claim points, Rohit Gulia kept the Pirates in the game at 23-26 with a couple of brilliant raids.

Riding on the momentum, Patna Pirates inflicted another All-Out on U.P. Yoddha in the 33rd minute to trim the deficit to just one point at 26-27. Thereafter, both sides kept trading points, and they were locked at 32-32 in the 39th minute.

Sachin picked up a raid point, but Pardeep Narwal contributed with a bonus point right after as the neck-and-neck battle continued.

However, U.P. Yoddha managed to carry out crucial tackles against Sachin and Gulia in the last minute of the match, which helped them to clinch a thrilling win against Patna Pirates in the end.
