U.P. Yoddha aim to get back to winning ways in Patna as they face the hosts, Patna Pirates in the next fixture at the Patliputra Sports Complex. After an unpleasant start to the ProKabaddi 2019 campaign, the Yoddha are getting back on track with consistent performances over the past few matches.
Before this big fixture, here's a closer look at Patna's overall team.
Their raiders
Patna Pirates Captain & raider Pardeep Narwal is known to be one of the top raiders to ever touch the mat. Furthermore, with his quick speed and agility, he lifts the quality of Patna Pirates’ raiding unit by an exponential margin. The same cannot be said for the other raiders as the unit overall has been struggling in gathering those required raid points.
Our defence has been looking rock-solid since the past three matches with 38 tackle points gathered. The number of failed tackles have gone down by considerable numbers and every U.P. Yoddha defender has been excelling, grabbing a high number of tackle points individually as well. The likes of Sumit and Ashu Singh have shown that the defence unit is just not dependent on skipper Nitesh Kumar.
Their defenders
The Patna Pirates defence unit has been playing well and is surprisingly being recognized for their tackling this season. Furthermore, with an average of more than 10 tackle points per match in their ProKabaddi campaign thus far, overcoming this certain hurdle on the other side of the mat will be a great challenge for the U.P. Yoddha raiding unit.
U.P. Yoddha’s raiding unit has finally found a consistent starting line-up in the likes of Rishank Devadiga, Monu Goyat & Shrikant Jadhav. The number of raid points haven’t been high in numbers, but they have been tactical and decisive. The raiders are starting to get into their groove and hopefully will deliver a standout performance in the upcoming match against the Patna Pirates.
