In their second and final match of the Pune leg, U.P. Yoddha will collide with U Mumba at the Shree Shiv Chhatrapati Sports Complex on Wednesday.

Yoddha are on a 5-match winning streak and are confident and determined to pull off another victory against Mumba, who have already been beaten once this season.

Their raiders

Since our last encounter, the Mumba side has gone through massive changes, with their raiders stepping up as heroes and leading them to victories. Two players who grabbed eyeballs with outstanding performances are Abhishek Singh and Arjun Deshwal. Though both feature as the team’s leading raiders, they picked up the form they were missing early in the season and will be the players to keep an eye out for by our defenders.

With two strong corners and equally able cover defenders, the Yoddha defense is potent enough to restrict any attack in the league. While Nitesh’s heroics are something well-known, young Sumit has emerged as the find of this season. Sumit is currently in the race for the most tackle points and will protect the left corner. Covers Ashu and Amit, coming in with effective dashes and blocks, complete our defense.

Their defenders

One of the greatest defenders of the era leads the Mumba squad. Fazel Atrachali will surely be the driving force of the Mumba defense, but there are players like Surinder Singh and Rohit Baliyan as well who will make it challenging for our raiders to steal points.

Our raiders are enjoying a great run of form, and that is what makes it a competition of equals. Shrikant has been scoring at an average of over seven points in recent games. Joining him in the action is Surender Singh. However, one of the most experienced players of the bunch, Rishank Devadiga, has bounced back in form after overcoming injuries, which will further boost Yoddha’s raiding contingent.
